- Come in for a preview before the visit: The unknown can be scary to a child. We are happy to have kids come in to get an idea of how friendly and helpful we are, before their actual visit. A preview will help calm their fears and get them excited about coming back for their visit.
- Read books about happy trips to the dentist: Share stories about other kids who have gone to the dentist for great visits and come out smiling!
- Talk about what we will be doing: Parents can share their own stories about how comfortable and happy their trips to the dentist have been, especially about how friendly everyone is in DeCapite’s office.
When children look forward to their dentist visit, they get more excited about taking good care of their teeth. That can help prevent cavities and other problems as they grow older. We are very excited about seeing smiling and happy kids and their parents come to our office.
